Bowls & Rolls - match report

🎉The Inaugural Bowls and Rolls Evening was held last Friday night.🎉 

This was Steve Timcke’s idea and he’s purchased an appropriate trophy 

The Golden Sausage!! 😂🤣 

Those who wished to participate had their names put in a hat and partners were allocated. 

We then played a Round Robin of pairs matches scored using the 101 scoring system (that is 4 points for the bowl nearest the jack, then 3, 2 and1) but the winners were the first to 21 instead of 101. 

Alec and I ended up being the strongest as we were at the bottom of the league holding everyone else up!!  😂💪 

We played 3 and lost 3 😩 but had great fun.

Bob and Morris came out victorious this time so congratulations to them!! 🎉🎉 They won a free drink from the bar! 🍺🍺

With several games going on at the same time it was busy but fun and those ‘resting’ offered much advice and encouragement from the verandah that got more raucous as the session went on! 😂🍺🥂🍷

Thanks to Dan who somehow kept the scores and draws! 

Hope you will join us for future Bowls and Rolls and we can eventually decide who become the guardians of the trophy. 😀👏👏👏
